long overdue update

I feel so incredibly guilty. I had no idea it had been almost 2 months since I updated. The time is just flying.

Baby update:

She's so active! I'm 25 1/2 weeks now and she's moving all the time. Literally. She's been kicking me since noon and it's 10 PM now. I love it. I love to play with her feet, push on heels (they're sharp!), rub her head. I'm so short and have so little room that I can feel where all her body parts are. This also means I stick out a lot and have constant heartburn. But I don't care.

Polly is planning the shower, after I'd given up on her. She's said something to A* a long time ago and then nothing. I approached another girlfriend, Mel, one who had a baby last September and Polly had refused to go to her shower because she couldn't deal. I told Mel I didn't think Polly was going to do it and she laughed at me and assured me that they were planning a shower. I felt so much better.

What else...we've got the crib, the stroller and a few baby clothes. A* is getting into the girl-thing. He as sort of bummed we aren't having a boy, but he got over it pretty quickly. He found a little chambray dress with gingham trim and flipped out and had to buy it. So funny. I have no idea when we'll do the nursery. Probably in July.

Work update...

Work is busy and awesome and good. We have a new office--it's beautiful and comfortable and so much better than what we had before. Andi is still here and is my lifesaver. We have a new PM, I'll name her later. She's junior but enthusiastic and wants to spend the time to become a part of this team for the long haul. How did I ever get so lucky?

In short, that's how I feel. Incredibly lucky. I don't know what I did to get this amazing life. Wonderful husband, inspiring work, adorable baby. (I just know she's adorable. Don't question me.)
