"No time to be intransigent"

It's finally happened. Someone within our close group of friends is having a kid. Amazingly, in this life-changing event, we weren't the trailblazers. Aaron's friend, P, and his lovely wife, J, will be welcoming their first baby into their family this winter. It's quite possible that this baby was made on our futon in our living room when they were visiting us last spring. It could also be that they conceived a week later on their trip to the UK, which would make a better story, for them at least.

My horoscope for today:

"This is no time to be intransigent, since perpetual motion is the ideal way to avoid getting mired in mud. Dig your heels in and you may start sinking. Is this telling me I need to get a new job? I can't help but think that if I had stable employment, I might not be having regular panick attacks about all the money we're spending on the house.

And that we might be making our own baby on our futon in the living room.
